29 February 2024

The 29th of February is an incredibly special day. As you are all likely aware, once every 4 years, this extra day is added to February. However, What is the mathematical reason for having another day in February?

Tau Day

28 June 2024

On 28 June it is Tau (τ) Day, where we celebrate the new mathematical constant that has began a movement in modern mathematics. The Tau Movement suggests that actually, π can be a bit of a handful when doing Trigonometry, and that instead, a constant value of 2π, also known as Tau (τ).

Happy Halloween

Fibonacci Day

23 November 2024

One of the biggest mathematical holidays of the year, Fibonacci Day is celebrated on 23 November. In the date format used by the United States among others, the 23th of November is written as 11/23, a Fibonacci sequence.
