Description
This glossy ceramic mug is a design statement with the Greek letter Phi on one side and our signature Maths Society logo on the other. In maths, Phi represents the golden ratio, a well-known mathematical constant roughly equal to 1.618. The ratio is often apparent in the natural world and is used to produce pleasing proportions in art and design. With a little imagination, the Phi symbol also looks a bit like a coffee bean. Find out more about the golden ratio here!
“A mathematician is a device for turning coffee into theorems,” as Hungarian mathematician Alfred Renyi famously said. Make sure your morning, afternoon, evening, or all-nighter hot drinks are coming from one of our maths mugs.
It’s safe in a microwave or a dishwater.
